RDA SOUTH covers with its activities three districts – the districts of Nišava, Pirot and Toplica with 14 municipalities and the City of Niš. About 600.000 inhabitants live in this region which extends to the borders with Bulgaria and administrative border line with Kosovo. Within the historical perspective, the main transit routes have always been passing through this region connecting East and West. The Corridor X could be considered as the continuation of these ancient roads and together with the Niš City international airport, they give geographical importance to this region and open up great possibilities.
