The Mission of RDA SOUTH is to improve the standards and quality of life for all the citizens in the districts of Nišava, Toplica and Pirot by stimulating healthy business environment and by creating new jobs which would lead to the improvement of the life quality in the region.

The objective of RDA SOUTH is to provide support to institutional efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development of the districts of Nišava, Pirot and Toplica via building of the professional HR capacities, creating healthy business environment and fertile ground for attracting direct foreign investments, networking and cooperating with other regional, national and international institutions in accordance with the process of EU integration.

The primary role of RDA South will be to assist local actors in their performance in order to utilize the maximum of the regional potentials. The Mission of RDA South is to improve the quality of life for all the citizens who live in the region. It can be achieved by implementing 5 (five) basic specific objectives. Those specific objectives are focused on securing good space urban planning, resolving the needs of the private sector and opening new job positions, on designing, developing and implementing key regional projects, collecting and analyzing all the relevant data in connection with the development in the region as well as on promoting and advocating the region itself and different regional institutions.

Objective 1: To take the leading role in the strategic planning and development of the region and in the process facilitate partnership and collaboration amongst representatives from all sectors – public, private and civil society

Objective 2: To assist in resolving the needs of the private sector in the region and thus open new jobs.

Objective 3: To lead the development and management of regional projects which facilitate the socio economic development of the region.

Objective 4: To act as knowledge bank on all issues connected with the region including the development of a database on key local experts.

Objective 5: To promote, lobby and advocate for the region on a national and international sphere based upon a sound understanding of the issues supported by data and evidence.
